Please note that care instructions, cleaning cloths and polish (where applicable) are supplied with ALL orders.
We recommend that you care for your Memorial Jewellery the way you would a non-waterproof watch, ie remove your pendant prior to showering, swimming and sleeping to ensure the jewellery is not damaged in any way. Once correctly filled and sealed (following our filling instructions) your cremation jewellery will be water resistant, however you should never immerse your locket pendant in water for long periods of time.
 Solid Sterling Silver Jewellery
All Sterling Silver will tarnish over time so we recommend that you conduct regular maintenance of the surface by using a silver polishing cloth (available from most jewellers and hardware stores). You can also use a suitable polish cream, very sparingly, to remove any tarnish, restore shine or remove any small scratches which may appear in the future.
If you use a jeweller to professionally clean or polish your jewellery, please ensure that they are aware that the pendant must not be immersed in any cleaning solutions.
 Solid Gold Jewellery
Unlike Sterling Silver, solid Gold jewellery will not not tarnish. Any fingerprints or marks which appear from everyday use can be removed with a jewellery cleaning cloth. If you use a jeweller to professionally clean or polish your jewellery, please ensure that they are aware that the pendant must not be immersed in any cleaning solutions.
 Gold Vermeil Jewellery
Gold Vermeil is a heavy layer of gold over Sterling Silver. It is a very durable form of gold plating however the surface of these designs should only ever be wiped with a very soft cloth slightly dampened with water. We strongly recommend that you DO NOT use polishing cream on these surfaces as it may remove the finish. Gold Vermeil jewellery should be kept as dry as possible and never be exposed to perfumes or any other chemicals.
 Brass, Bronze and Pewter Jewellery
Some skin types may react to brass, bronze or pewter pendants. A silicone coating has been applied to our range of products made from these semi-precious metals to help avoid this. If tarnishing occurs use a soft polishing cloth and appropriate metal cleaning cream to restore the shine.
